Originally from Greenwich, Connecticut, Michael’s career began on Wall Street as Associate General Counsel at the prestigious, AAA-rated New York office of Caisse des Dépôts et Consignation. His passion for television and film drew him into the entertainment industry where he founded Red Dog Entertainment, an award-winning, multimillion-dollar production company, providing original programming to clients including Discovery Channel, TLC, and National Geographic Channel.
In 2001, the trajectory of Michael’s life was dramatically altered when a lifetime of alcohol and drug abuse finally caught up with him—the cost: his company, his marriage, and nearly his own life.
Today, Michael leads a transformed life, having been sober since 2010, using his education and experience to help others suffering from substance abuse and mental health disorders.
Michael brings to FARR not only his legal acumen but also his extensive experience with clinical and non-clinical recovery programs as an owner, CEO, executive director, clinical director, therapist, facilitator, and general counsel.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University and earned his Juris Doctor from New York Law School. He is admitted to the bar in both New York and Florida. He is a former FARR Board Member and previously served as Chairperson of the Palm Beach County Behavioral Health, Substance Use, and Co-Occurring Disorder Steering Committee. Michael is also a former candidate for the New York City Council and has managed two US congressional races.
While success has brought Michael incredible joy and great rewards, he boasts that his greatest achievement in life is his incredible daughter, who is currently working on her BA at New York University. Michael resides in Palm Beach County with his fiancé, their Goldendoodle, Huckleberry, and Siberian Cat, Milo.
