“A Senate bill designed to ensure sober homes are safe for addicts and neighbors made it through its second committee stop with a unanimous vote on Tuesday.
Members of the Senate Subcommittee on Health and Human Services asked no questions of the bill’s sponsor, Sen. Jeff Clemen’s, D-Lake Worth. About a dozen supporters from substance abuse organizations told the committee they supported the bill. No one spoke against it.
An amended version of Senate bill that would establish a voluntary certification process for sober homes cleared its first committee hearing this morning with a unanimous vote.”
